What is permanent makeup?
Semi-permanent makeup, permanent makeup, Microblading ,3D Hairstrokes or micropigmentation all use the same needle penetration to improve the look of eyebrows, lips and eye definition. The intention is not to replace makeup entirely, but to enhance and complement your natural features and beauty.
Permanent makeup is a form of tattooing and works on the same principal as a regular skin tattoo. A pharmaceutical pigment is introduced into the skin via an oscillating needle. However, since the needle only penetrates 0.8-1.3 mm into the skin, the result is much more superficial and will eventually exfoliate or shed out along with the dead skin cells as they renew themselves. The amount of time the treatment lasts varies from person to person.

What is Microblading (Hair Strokes) Eyebrow?
Microblading is a manual method used to deposit small amounts of ink in the superficial layer of the skin. It is considered to be a semi-permanent tattoo. **Results may vary on different individual skin types.

We will customize the right eyebrow shade and thickness for you using a wide range of high quality hypoallergenic permanent makeup pigments and sterilized needle sizes. Before we begin the procedure, we sit down and work with you to shape your brows with a pencil, allowing us to agree on the best color and shape to fit your face. Microstroking does not require your entire eyebrow to be shaved and does not damage your natural hair.

Do the procedures hurt?
There are great numbing and topical anesthetics that we use. There is nothing to worry about. We believe our numbing process is as good as it gets. A topical anesthetic is used to maximize comfort. Some clients say that it’s no more painful than having your eyebrows threaded.

How long does Semi-permanent makeup last for?
Semi-Permanent makeup lasts for years. The length of years your permanent makeup lasts is dependent on several factors, including skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle. It is recommended to freshen up your makeup every couple of years.

How often do I need a touch up?
Touch ups are recommended every eight months to a year, to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp.

Do I need to take a day off work?
No. There’s no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living

Does permanent makeup look natural?
When it comes to permanent makeup procedures, choosing the right technician is the most important. It is vital to visit an experienced technician with the proper training and a proven record of successful procedures. Our procedures will look natural and flattering. Permanent makeup is not intended to replace cosmetics completely though. The look is soft and natural, so for special events or nights out, you can apply as much additional makeup as is desired.

How long does it take?
The procedure takes roughly about 2 hours, sometimes more sometimes less. Please allow a solid two hour window for your appointment. We likely won’t need that much time, but this isn’t something we want to rush.

Aftercare: Important Info

  • After the semi/permanent make-up procedure, it is natural for swelling to occur.
  • Colors may appear darker immediately following the procedure.  Pigments usually scab after 3-5 days.  DO NOT pick, rub, or cleanse the area with soap or cleanser for one week.  Allow the scab to flake off naturally.  As the healing progresses, colors will soften to its true color.  We recommend lightly rinsing your face and showering with low pressure water.
  • No water on brows for one week to ensure the hairstroke lines stay as thin as possible. Water, sweat, and oil on hairstroke lines can blur/spread lines out.
  • No heavy workouts for 10 days. Avoid sweating.
  • It is normal for colors to fade up to 60% the first week. Round 2 is recommended after 4 - 6 weeks and no longer than 8 weeks.
  • Apply on a small dosage of ointment five times a day.
  • Avoid Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline during your healing period. Anything with a petroleum base can cause a reaction, crusting, scabbing and sweating so the skin is not able to breathe.
  • If  itching occurs, you can use Bactine, and it will also disinfect the area. Bactine contains lidocaine and benzalkonium chloride.
  • If necessary, an appointment for a retouch can be scheduled at 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure at no extra charge.
  • Do not soak treated area in a hot tub or swimming pool for ten days.
  • No sunbathing, or tanning for 4 weeks.
  • No chemical peels, mesotherapy, dermabrasion, Botox or any other intense treatments for 4 weeks.
  • WARNING: Chlorine, exfoliation creams, and exposure to the sun will cause colors to fade.
  • Failure to follow post-procedure instructions may cause loss of pigment, discoloration or infection.
  • After 7 days, you can use a gentle soap or non-greasy cleaner to keep your brows clean.

•Everyone’s skin heals differently. It is important to remember that this is a two-part process and the second touch-up will complete the procedure. The touch-up is recommended after 45 days. Not everyone, but some people will need a touch-up to fill in missing hairs, make hairs longer or achieve a more intensive color. After you have fully healed, you will see the finished result. Please be patient and don’t panic.
